Climate Change

Climate change will have a devastating effect on biodiversity, and we will develop this impacts on biodiversity in county Louth as we go along, but the impact on people is also not insignificant. Based on current conservative projections the above map shows the flood risk for the Dundalk area. All of these areas will be under water at high tide by 2050.  Investments in coastal defenses are ongoing but there an be no doubt that retreat from many of these areas will be necessary by then, that or floating houses.
